MAWADDAH is built by a small team of South African Muslims, advised by ʿulamāʾ, ʿālimāt, and experienced community members. The platform is shaped by community feedback — from families, walīs, and singles who've struggled to find a sincere, dignified path to nikāḥ.
We are launching deliberately and quietly — beginning in South Africa, then expanding by invitation as moderator capacity grows. No investors, no advertising, no data sales. The platform answers to its community, not to a market.

- Can other users see my profile?
- No. Profiles are not publicly browsable.
- Can I message people inside the app?
- No. MAWADDAH has no in-app messaging. After mutual acceptance you contact the walī directly by phone, WhatsApp, or SMS — outside the app.
- Does AI choose my spouse?
- No. AI only assists with compatibility suggestions. Moderators, families, and you make the final decisions.
- Are photos required?
- No. Photos are optional and privacy-controlled.
- Can I delete my data?
- Yes. You can request account and data deletion from your settings.
